Welcome to Sahara's Page!

It's still in the works, so don't be expecting anything wonderful.

For those of you that aren't on Ansible Moo, here's a little background info. It is a text-based roleplay game (kind of like a super super spiffed up chat room, but not really. We all have characters and there are rooms and objects and fun stuff like that . . a programmer could explain it better). The setting is a space station orbiting earth 10 years before Enders Game. If you haven't read it, do so. It's one of the best books ever. Anyway, the space station acts as a training school for young, exceptional children that the army is training to create one of the best fighting armies in the history of the world. When their training is finished they will command, control or work inside massive interstellar battle-ships as part of a defensive fleet. They all think that they are going to defend the world against the buggers (or formics, to use the scientific phrase), an alien species that nearly annihilated the human race years ago. What the students at the school don't know is that they are being trained to be part of an OFFENSIVE fleet against the buggers, an invasion of the buggers home planet.

They have school just like normal children, but even the younger students operate on a high school level in maths and sciences (all the students selected for battle school have to be exceptionally gifted) They also have free play and different games, but their lives revolve around a mock-army and battle game setup . . . The children are soldiers in armies, command armies, and fight against other armies of roughly 40 students each. The battle set up is kind of like team freeze tag, with laser guns (not REAL laser), null gravity style. To learn more, visit www.ansible.org to check it out. My character is Sahara, a 10 year old girl, a proud member of Condor army.

For those of you that ARE on ansible, this is a place where you can contact me to put up IC drawings/stories/poetry/or whatever about anything on the moo (although preferentially your character) With luck, in a few weeks this site will give some good background info on Ansible and the people who connect to it.

Very sorry, but Personally, I'm not even finished with the stuff I intend to put up for my character (I'm a terrible artist . .so don't be expecting drawings for a while). I do have the first segment in kind of a mini-series about my characters life before and during battle school.

Have fun!
